With a textured hardback cover, the front of this notebook is illustrated with the ‘Sleeping On The Job’ illustration which depicts an adorable black and white border collie, who has fallen asleep, in a wheelbarrow full of flowers and vegetables. A bunch of carrots are hanging from the wheelbarrow, and they’ve caught the attention of a pair of bunnies. The design is set against a beautiful pale green background and surrounding the illustration are speckles of black paint, in a way that is synonymous with the Wrendale brand. The back cover features a little tabby cat who has fallen asleep in a plant pot full of flowers. The cat has caught the attention of three field mice which inquisitively look at the knocked over plants. Both designs painted in the gorgeous watercolour styling of artist Hannah Dale, and at the top of the front cover is the text ‘Notebook’ in a cursive black font.
Inside are roughly lined pages with an illustration of a pair of bunny rabbits in the bottom right-hand corner, in a black and white colour scheme. This hardback notebook is finished with an elasticated closure to keep the book secure when not in use.
With its beautiful brushwork and interesting design, this notebook is the perfect size for keeping on your desk, at home or in the office, or on your kitchen counter to jot down any ideas or musing when inspiration strikes. Wrendale Designs
The wonderful Wrendale Designs collection is inspired by the animal characters seen in the British countryside, farmyard and home, as well as more exotic creatures. Featuring original artwork produced by much-loved Lincolnshire artist Hannah Dale, each image is delicately painted with soft brushwork, subtle colours and her signature speckles of black paint.
Hannah is an ex-stockbroker turned farmer’s wife who, inspired by her rural married life in the English countryside, embraced her artistic roots and began painting the animals in the landscape around her. Since then Wrendale Designs has expanded into a family business and the collection has grown over the years, ranging from stationery to homeware, accessories to storage tins, clothing to ceramicware from British brand Portmeirion, all featuring artwork touched with the magic of Hannah’s watercolour brush.
