About us

Newbury is a beautiful market town with a vibrant high street and a great variety of shops. We see ourselves as a modern gift shop with old fashioned family values. We have been so pleased with the way the people of Newbury have welcomed the Temptation family to the town. Temptation has been trading in Newbury since 2012. We believe ours is the most beautiful store in the chain, although of course my fellow-managers in our other branches might not agree! With sun streaming in through our double-height ceiling it has a feel like alfresco shopping, with natural light enhancing the vibrant colours of the products.

We believe that Northbrook Street will always be the centre of retail in the town. There is an old-fashioned country town vibe in the High Street which it is great to be a part of. So many people who work in retail don’t seem to understand that customer service has to be 1st,2nd and 3rd in your list of priorities and it always will be for us. But with over 7,000 products in our store, it isn’t difficult to find something to talk about with our many regular customers.
