Portmeirion was founded in 1960 by the legendary pottery designer Susan Williams-Ellis and her husband Euan Cooper-Willis in Stoke-on-Trent. Portmeirion’s most recognisable design, Botanic Garden, was first created in the 1970s. Inspired by botanical books, it was quintessentially British, bringing an antique feel and vibrant colours to the dining table. Following on the success of this iconic range, Portmeirion has continued to bring high quality pottery for everyday life with their own unique designs as well as working with well-known brands like Wrendale or Sophie Conran.
