This pale blue hinged case has a hard shell for protection but is finished with a soft feel. The front features an illustration of a group of birds perched on a branch. This includes a blue tit, a barn owl, a robin and more. On the reverse is an endearing scene of pair of adorable small brown wren, one perched on top of a ceramic plant pot which is filled with purple pansies and has toppled over, spilling soil over the ground. Inside there is a blue microfibre cleaning cloth which features a selection of more mini bird themed illustrations. The designs have been painted in the beautiful watercolour style of artist Hannah Dale and is surrounded by speckles of black paint, in a way that is very synonymous with the Wrendale brand.
With its beautiful brushwork and interesting design, it would be great as a gift for anyone who loves Wrendale’s trademark expressive style. Wrendale Designs
The wonderful Wrendale Designs collection is inspired by the animal characters seen in the British countryside, farmyard and home, as well as more exotic creatures. Featuring original artwork produced by much-loved Lincolnshire artist Hannah Dale, each image is delicately painted with soft brushwork, subtle colours and her signature speckles of black paint.
Hannah is an ex-stockbroker turned farmer’s wife who, inspired by her rural married life in the English countryside, embraced her artistic roots and began painting the animals in the landscape around her. Since then Wrendale Designs has expanded into a family business and the collection has grown over the years, ranging from stationery to homeware, accessories to storage tins, clothing to ceramicware from British brand Portmeirion, all featuring artwork touched with the magic of Hannah’s watercolour brush.
