Position : Management Trainee

Location : Amersham

Key Responsibilities:

  • To sell gifts and provide excellent levels of customer service
  • To maintain stock levels
  • To merchandise gifts
  • To shadow the managers and learn how to manage the store.

The Management Trainee has a crucial role to play in helping to manage and organise the shop. This is NOT a sitting down, ‘telling other people what to do’ job! This is a ‘leading from the front, getting in early and staying late’ job!

This is a job for someone who has already made the decision to work in retail.

A management Trainee must be:

    • available to work whenever the manager is off duty
    • prepared to be a key holder and take responsibility for running the store (when trained)
    • flexible so that holidays do not coincide with those of manager

Hours and Details:

This is a permanent, full time position - 5 days a week over a 7day rota (Monday to Saturday 8.30am - 6pm. and Sunday between 10.00am and 5.15pm)

About You:

Our ideal candidate will be bright, articulate, confident, enthusiastic and relish working in a target orientated, ever changing store!
She or he will have had at least one years’ experience in a fast-moving retail environment and have made the decision to make a career in retail.
Applicants must already be good at selling, be very confident when dealing with customers and have shown a flair for display.
As a future keyholder the MT must be able to reach the store within 20 minutes.

Position : Assistant Manager

Location : Henley

Key Responsibilities:

    • To sell gifts and provide excellent levels of customer service
    • To maintain stock levels
    • To merchandise gifts
    • To manage the store in the absence of the Branch Manager

The Assistant Manager has a crucial role to play in helping to manage and organise the shop. The main duty is to form a management team with the Branch Manager so that the team can experience continued support and direction whoever is on duty. When the Manager is absent - for a lunch time, a day off or a two week holiday the AM must be ready and able to step up and take on all those responsibilities

The Assistant Manager must also be:

    • available to work whenever the manager is off duty
    • prepared to be a key holder whose name and phone number is 'logged’ and is therefore available for call out by alarm company
    • flexible so that holidays do not coincide with those of manager
    • prepared to stay late or start early in order 'get the job done’
    • prepared to work in other branches

Hours and Details:

This is a permanent, full time position - 5 days a week over a 7day rota (Monday to Saturday 8.30am - 6pm. and Sunday between 10.00am and 5.15pm)

Position : Sales Assistant

Location : Henley

Hours : Flexi time

Starting Pay : £6.35 per hour


Key Responsibilities

    • To sell gifts and provide excellent levels of customer service
    • To maintain your own section within the store

Therefore approximately half your time will be spent directly with customers, and half will be spent updating your stock sections: dealing with deliveries and creating new displays.

How To Succeed:

    • Have you had some experience in a fast-moving retail environment?
    • Do you have exceptionally high standards of customer service, a reliable and flexible attitude to team work, and a positive, enthusiastic approach to life?

Hours and Details:

This is a permanent, flexi time position. The hours are 20 to 24 hours a week with the flexibility to increase during seasonal times. Applicants must be available to do some full days (9am to 5.45pm) as well as half days. Some weekend working will be required.
