This is a result of endless hours of hard work from the whole Temptation team, from the people who pack the orders to the people who design the website. The online gift market is becoming increasingly competitive and just being nominated was a tremendous show of stength. Various high street stores were in attendance, including John Lewis and Selfridges, and we were able to defeat fierce competition from sites such as Not On The Highstreet and The Great Gift Company. To win against such a strong field is a magnificent achievement (if we say so ourself!), and a ringing endorsement of TemptationGifts and the service we offer to our customers.

The awards took place at London's world famous Savoy Hotel, a glittering setting for the most important day in the gift industry. A champagne reception gave way to a delicious three course meal, as the biggest names in the industry chatted and mingled in a beautiful function room. The very room, in fact, that features at the end of Notting Hill no less! The ceremony was compared by acclaimed comedian Hal Cruttenden, who brought an extra dash of laughter to the occasion.
The best thing about winning at the Greats is not the glory or the rather large trophy. It is vindication for the all the care and dedication that we put into being the best we possibly can be at what we do. In short, that means the very best in customer service, in the variety of what we sell, and then how we sell it, both in terms of ease of use for our customers and by offering the most competitive prices.
We're quite sure that we do all of these things brilliantly anyway: we continually hear from our customers - from you - about how happy you are with our service, and it's this positivity that keeps us striving to improve. But it's also more than welcome to receive accolades from those in the industry themselves. These people tend to know a thing or two about what makes a great company, and to win the award three years running means we're definitely doing plenty right!
The last year at Temptation has been the most challenging yet, and has included moving to new offices, taking on more and more staff, and completely redesigning our website. This doesn't mean we plan to rest on our laurels, though. We already have exciting plans in place for the coming year, all of which are designed to give you the most complete gift buying experience you could possibly hope for.
If all goes well, maybe we will be writing another blog post in a year's time, proudly having been awarded Best Online Retailer of Gifts yet again... But until then, there's plenty of time to go shopping!
A final thank you, though, must go to you, our customers. Some of you may have only used us once or twice; many of you shop with us every month. Whatever your shopping habits, we would literally not be able to keep going if it wasn't for your continued interest, enthusiasm, and kind-hearted nature that makes you want to buy someone a gift in the first place!
