Inspired by the original Steiff Teddy bears from the early 1900s, Steiff have captured every ounce of magic, spirit nostalgia and romance that Richard Steiff gave to his bears over 100 years ago. His stunning mohair is quite exceptional and skillfully produced. Black mohair has been blended and woven subtly with his golden brown fur, and his large deep-set boot button eyes bring a wealth of warmth, overflowing with expression. His very traditional and extremely smart leather collar is enchanced by a Steiff identification tag.

Steiff
Steiff have been manufacturing bears and other collectable characters for over 125 years. All their cuddly companions are "made in Germany" in Steiff's own factory.
As with all those characters made in the early days, it is still the manual skills that make each Steiff product wonderfully unique.

Each Steiff bear is signified by a "Tag" in its left ear, and each of these tags has a meaning.
A Yellow Tag - identifies the bears which are produced in unlimited numbers
A White & Black Tag - identifies a limited edition bear which is a replica of one originally produced by Steiff many years ago.
A White & Red Tag - identifies a limited edition bear which will be produced as a special for the current year, or to commemorate an occasion.
