All About : Hexbug Inchworm

This odd looking creature is comprised of 4 outer legs and a rotating 4-footed inner leg. It may be bizarre, but it is highly effective, with the outer legs allowing the Inchworm to move forwards and backwards, and the rotating feet twisting the robot in order to change direction!

Just sit it down, flick the power switch to either A or B to select the infrared band to use (making sure the controller is set to the same) and you're ready to get going. The controls on the miniature remote are simple - move the Inchworm forwards or backwards, or rotate it clockwise or anti-clockwise. Given its odd mechanics you'd probably expect this alien-like robot to stumble along with a clunk, but its long legs and quick reactions makes it a fast and agile little mover!
